Switch the connected device

If two or more Bluetooth devices have been registered, select the device to be used.

  1. Touch [Device List] in the Connection & AV setting menu.
  2. Touch the name of the device you want to connect.

NOTE

  1. If the icon is lighted, it means that the unit will use that device.
  2. You can confirm the connection status of Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto as follows.
  3. Bluetooth: If the device compatible with Bluetooth is paired, (Blue), (White) or (Blue) is lighted.
  4. Apple CarPlay: If the device compatible with Apple CarPlay is connected, the device name (Blue) and (White) are lighted.
  5. Android Auto: If the device compatible with Android Auto is connected, the device name (Blue) and (White) are lighted.
  6. Even if the device is compatible with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, icons are not displayed when;
  7. Apple CarPlay is deactivated on the connected device side.
  8. The connected device only supports wired Android Auto.
  9. If you select a device name to which the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is connected, it will be disconnected.
  10. You can quickly display the Device List screen by touching (Device List) in the popup menu. Popup menu

To switch the connected device to a Bluetooth device

  1. Touch [Bluetooth] on the Device List screen.
  2. Bluetooth device list appears.
  3. Touch the name of the Bluetooth device you want to connect.
  4. NOTE

    1. In the following cases, a confirmation message for disconnection appears. Touch [Yes] and follow to next step 2.
    2. Select any device when Apple CarPlay is connected.
    3. Select the connected device when Android Auto is connected.
  5. Set each profile as follows.
  6. [TEL (HFP) 1], [TEL (HFP) 2]

    Select when the device is connected with the unit as Hands-Free phone 1 or 2.

  7. [Audio (A2DP)/App (SPP)]

    Select to use as an audio player or to interwork with an application installed in a smartphone.

  8. Touch [Close].

To delete the registered device

You can delete the device that is registered as Bluetooth source or Apple CarPlay source.

When you delete a Bluetooth device which supports Android Auto, the device is also deleted from the Android Auto device list.

  1. Touch on the Device List screen.
  2. Touch the device name to check.
  3. [* All]

    Selects all Bluetooth devices.

  4. [i All]

    Clears all check marks.

  5. NOTE

    1. You cannot select a device currently connected.
    2. When you select Android Auto tab, is not displayed.
  6. Touch [Delete].
  7. Confirmation message appears.
  8. Touch [Yes].
  9. All the selected device(s) is deleted.
