Connecting an iPhone

Wired connection

  1. Connect your iPhone with the USB cable that matches the connector. Connecting an iPhone
  2. When an iPhone compatible with Apple CarPlay is connected to the USB terminal, the Bluetooth Hands-Free phone currently connected is disconnected. If another Bluetooth Hands-Free phone is being used, disconnection will occur after ending the call.
  3. Unlock your iPhone.

NOTE

  1. Depending on the iPhone connector, use a genuine Apple Lightning-USB cable or a USB-IF certified USB-C® to USB-A USB cable. If you use non-certified cable, it may not work properly.

Wireless connection

You can select the iPhone registered in [Device List] and use it as the Apple CarPlay device.

NOTE

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function and Wi-Fi function of an iPhone.
  2. If two or more iPhone have been registered, select the iPhone to be used as the [Apple CarPlay] source. See Switch the connected device.
  3. It is necessary to connect the GPS antenna in order to use a wireless Apple CarPlay.
  4. When the Wi-Fi connection becomes unavailable, the HOME screen is displayed.
  5. You cannot use Apple CarPlay if the function is turned off by operating the iPhone at functional setup.

  1. The connection message appears when;
  2. The iPhone you used previously is connected again.
  3. The screen other than HOME and the source selection screen is displayed.
  4. The connection message is displayed for about 5 seconds.
