Speaker / X’over setup

  1. KW-Z1001W/KW-Z1000AW
    Press the button.
    KW-Z800AW
    Touch at the top of the screen.
    Touch HOME on the popup menu.
  2. HOME screen appears.
  3. Touch .
  4. Touch [Audio].
  5. Audio screen appears.
  6. Touch [Speaker / X’over].
  7. Select a car type.
  8. You can select the car type and speaker network, etc.
  9. When you select your car type, the Delay Time Alignment is activated automatically (for timing adjustment of sound output for each channel) to have the highest surround effects.
  10. Touch the speaker ( 1 ) you wish to adjust and set each parameter ( 2 ) as follows.

[Speaker]

You can select a speaker type and its size to get the best sound effects.

If no rear speakers or subwoofer are connected, select “None” for each.

When the speaker type and size are selected, the speaker crossover network is set automatically.

[Location] (Only for Front, Rear)

Select the speaker position you have installed.

[Tweeter] (Only for Front)

You can set up the tweeter when you are selecting front speakers.

None, Small, Medium, Large

[HPF FREQ] (Only for Front, Rear)

High Pass Filter adjustment.

[LPF FREQ] (Only for Subwoofer)

Low Pass Filter adjustment.

[Slope]

Set a crossover slope.

[Gain]

Adjust the gain of the front speaker, rear speaker, or subwoofer.

[TW Gain] (Only for Front)

Adjust the tweeter level.

[Phase Inversion] (Only for Subwoofer)

Set the phase of subwoofer output.

Check [Phase Inversion] to shift the phase 180 degrees.

 

When Speaker network is set to 3-way:

[Speaker]

You can select a speaker type and its size to get the best sound effects.

When the speaker type and size are selected, the speaker crossover network is set automatically.

[FREQ] (High Pass)

High Pass Filter adjustment. (Only for High Pass)

[FREQ] (Low Pass)

Low Pass Filter adjustment. (Only for Low Pass)

[HPF FREQ], [LPF FREQ] (Only for Band Pass)

Band Pass Filter adjustment.

[Slope]*1 *2

Set a crossover slope.

[Gain]

Set the gain of each speaker.

[Phase Inversion]

Set the phase of tweeter, mid range, and woofer output.

Check [Phase Inversion] to shift the phase 180 degrees.

 

  1. Only when “LPF FREQ”/“HPF FREQ” (Band Pass) is set to a mode other than “Through”.
  2. Only when “FREQ” (Low Pass) is set to a mode other than “Through”.
